As part of my treatment I joined a trial for a mouthwash product that is supposed to help dramatically with mouth sores etc. as a result of the RAD. It's a blind trial so I don't know whether I am actually getting the product so I can only report what the docs have told me and that is they are having good results and expect that the FDA will approve next year. The real interesting news is the product has been available in Canada and available "over the counter". The product name is Benzydamine and can be purchased on-line at a number of Canadian sources. I'm obviously not recomending this product( not qualified ) but only pass on the info for anyone interested to investigate further.By the way my first week of Chemo and Rad2X daily was OK. I am still inspired my what I continue to read on this site. Thanks. Len -Philadelphia, Stage III base of tongue and right nodes.
