Joined: May 2003 Posts: 1 | almost two years from last treatment date (3/28/01). Diagnosed stage IV left lateral oral tongue, six nodes left side of neck. 1/3 of left side of tongue removed as well as left side modified radical neck disection. now have a small (pencil eraser) size blister on right side bottom of tongue. I have always heard it to be rare for this type of cancer to spread to opposite side. Any other possible explanation besides recurrence. Not painful etc. Non smoker, light drinker | | |

In your shoes I would head for my doctor and have it biopsied as soon as possible. Hopefully it is nothing, but if it is something bad you want to know at the earliest possible time. Please get it checked out by someone that you trust.

Recurrance in June 05 in right tonsil area. Now receiving palliative chemo (Erbitux) starting 3/9/06
