Dad is recovering from 4/27/05 surgery to remove cancer from tongue plus the right side neck dissection. He's T3NOMO at this point, and starts radiation in about 4 weeks. He has had nonHodgkins lymphoma since 1/94, too, and although the 18 nodes removed on 4/27/05 had no SCC, one node did show the nonHodgkins cells. I'm concerned that his oncologist has never treated anybody with both cancers before and claims it's uncommon to have HN and nonHodgkins both. Anybody have any experience with this?
