Hi everyone,

My friend is now almost three weeks post radiation/chemo treatment. One symptom he is having that we cannot quite get to the bottom of is a lot of sweating. It is not accompanied by a fever, just sweating, enough to make a shirt pretty wet. If anyone has any experience with this, I'd appreciate your thoughts.

And thank you to everyone for this forum. I don't post all that often but I am on here quite a lot reading the posts. It has been incredibly helpful.

Thanks again,

Lawrence

Lawrence, is he taking Salagen (Pilocarpine)? This is given to increase saliva production and will cause sweating if dose is high. Some people have a bigger problem than others.

Take care

Lawrence,

Another potential thing to check is Hep C. With the blast for the treatment, if Hep C is a factor, a flare up could cause this.

I can tell from your posts how fortunate your friend is to have you with him through this. May your days be bright!

It can be caused by low white and/or red cell count which is pretty typical post Tx as well as what others have mentioed.
