Sent for Pet Scan and ENT visit. Both doctors said everything was fine. I got the Pet Scan report and it was advised that lump be watched and biopsied that it is probably from radiation but cannot exclude new tumor because of borderline results but there was no evidence of metastasised disease anywhere in the body. I am wondering why Drs said everything was fine. Will see Ent and RO in two weeks. Anyone have any thoughts.

RO from Memorial Sloan Kettering is not overly concerned but wants to watch it. He does not have to go back for 4 months. New ENT( because other retired ) is a specialist in HNC and swallowing disorders feels that the lump could be from imflammation in the area. No one seems as concerned as I. We are going on vacation in two weeks and will follow up with ENT as he wants another swallowing teat as his eating is very limited. Basically lives on ensure and a little fish or chicken for dinner. I wouldn't be so worried but mucus problem is worse than ever but he does have thrush from being on a antibiotic for two weeks.
