I am so happy (yet keeping my fingers crossed for luck), I just had to share. My husband Ron just had his 3 month post radiation treatment checkup. His Doctor's were thrilled with how his throat is healing, and no cancer. YEAH! I know this is just the beginning of "watchful waiting" but as you all know, to hear the words "no cancer" is music to our ears. We will be able to rest easy until 2 months from now when he goes for his next checkup. I just want to thank all of you for your compassion and support. You have no idea how much you have helped me get through this difficult time (I think I'm going to cry...) I don't even know any of you, and yet you are all so special to me. You are quite an amazing bunch, and I thank God every day for leading me to this website. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Love,

Shelley

Shelley and Ron,

Way to go! Hearing "no cancer" is right up there with hearing "I love you" - music to the ears! I just had my 15 month checkup with my surgeon and so far, so good so here's hoping we all continue to hear such encouraging news! Again, congrats and celebrate!

Hugs, Nancy

You will come to love, (and feel the relief of) the NED marking on your charts. Of course that's the doctor speak abbreviation for No Evidence of Disease. 6 years out, I am still nervous before every check up, and in the office I always glance at my chart in the door holder on the way in to look for the letters NED......... It's alway s a cause for celebration no matter how far from the original disease you get.
