Haven't had a chance to read this exact bill yet, but I will.

As I alluded to in my introduction about myself, I am a former practicing attorney who has been involved with grassroots legislative advocacy. I used to work for a large general cancer non-profit and I currently work with a large blood cancer non-profit. I have also worked extensively in the area of tobacco control.

My personal feeling is that activism and participation in the process is so important. It is our right as citizens and our responsibility. I have also found on a personal level that being involved and speaking out is good for my own well being. I will yell at the top of my lungs and streak down the street naked if it means convincing people to help in the cause of finding cures for cancer. The government plays a large role in appropriating funds toward research and towards setting the agenda.

I encourage all survivors and loved ones to get involved.

Thanks for bringing this specific bill to our attention.
