I think tears come sometimes when you feel secure enough to let them come--and they will have reassured your dad just how much you care and he'll maybe feel able to shed his own when he feels that need. You sound like an incredibly strong family with a lot of love between you and I'm sure that will help see you all through. Keep giving us updates, always in my thoughts,

They can see blockages right away when you get a stress. I have had a few of these and my daughter a Critcal care Rn works in the Heart Untit.. I get my results as soon as the test is finished.

The stress test revealed blockages. We talked to the RO about putting the PEG tube in. The gastro group doesn't want to do anything about the PEG until the heart is fixed for fear of causing heart problems. Mom doesn't want a doctor in training performing a catherization (do you blame her?). We are waiting for a consult with his regular cardiologist to see what he thinks. I'm guessing at this point that the regular cardio doc will the cath.
The RO says that he wont do radiation twice a day until the first of the year. At that time M&D have been told that they can stay at the hospital hospitality house to cut down on the back and forth twice a day. That's a relief when we consider that bad weather is coming soon.
Still no information as to whether they will do chemo now.
Radiation still takes place daily.
I'm exhausted. Emotions are on the edge. Had a major meltdown after my post last night. I think it did me good to let it all out.
Thanks to everyone for your thoughts, prayers and replies. It just helps knowing I/we arent in this alone.
Hugs,
Joy

You know I'm with you all the time. It seems like all the docs are pitching in and you couldn't ask for better co-ordination of treatment. That should give you at least an ounce of comfort.
Melt downs are normal. Hope you can get some help with that if it continues.

I went to RPI for one semester before it changed to VCU. That's how old I am. If cancer isn't bad enough our reward is growing older !!

I laughed out loud when you referred to it as RPI. Dad graduated from there when it was RPI. He still wears his class ring.
Dad did ok after radiation today. I saw him for a brief moment when they stopped by my office afterwards. They didnt come in, I just ran down to the car. Nothing new to report today, thank goodness. Heres to keeping our fingers crossed that it stays that way for a while; at least through the holidays.
Thanks again for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.
