It's like reading 'family news' on here. Glad he's walking well and has a good appetite--sounds like that should stand him in good stead!
I'm not surprised he was depressed--my ambition through all of this has been to 'stay out of hospital as in-patient'!--which I've been lucky, so far, to have managed.
Hope he's home to you soon, Love Brenda x

Just getting caught up and I just read your post. Sorry to hear he's had to deal with sooo much but I'm happy the worst to over. Get that shoulder back in place; get him some rehab and I figure he's good to go another 30 years.

About 6 oz of fluid drawn from surgery site, back next Monday to do it again.
Radiation Oncologist read chest CT report from June, which states emphesema, as well as nodules in lung, was supposed to f/u with another CT in THREE months, now it's SIX months later, and we havan't had another CT.
You can bet I'll be on the phone with Baptist TOMORROW to arrange ASAP!
Buzz INSISTED upon driving the 40 miles to Pinehurst today, but was not as 'chipper' after seeing the surgeon, so he ALLOWED me to drive back!
Doctor told him last Thursday NO DRIVING for at least TWO weeks, and DO NOTHING for 4-6 weeks...what can I do??? tie him to his lounge chair?? You GUYS....it's HARD being the caregiver...I always have to be the 'bad guy'.
His weight is stuck at 160, so the dietitian gave him a big bag of Carnation VHC, for which I'm thankful. Will order more tomorrow through local pharmacy.
Pray that I don't HURT him (lol) before he has time to get well!
Lois
