BILL T1 N2B/N3 scc rt tonsil 8 taxol/carboplantin 33IMRT with 6taxol/carboplantin last treatment will be 3/28/2007!

Glaxal Base is what I was given at the hospital, and it's available at most drugstores. You want to be careful about what you use: it can't contain any metallic elements ( zinc, silver, etc.) since this can actually concentrate the radiation. Talk to your RO, and see what they suggest Wayne

Ask your doctor for a steroidal cream, like Desonide, if itching is a problem. You are at great risk for skin infections. There are many things that you can try, ask your RO and rad techs. There is also a product called "Radiacare" which many treatment centers give away samples of.
Make sure that your skin is clean and dry before having a radiation treatment. Lotions and creams on the skin can have a "bolus" effect and exacerbate the radiation damage to the surface of the skin.
