Finished day 15 of 33 scheduled IMRT and 2nd Cycle of 3 for Cisplat Chemo. So far things are going pretty good I think. I have a sore throat, but manage it easily with Roxinol/Morphine. I have the patch ready to for later on down the road when things get worse. I noticed today that I lost the hair on the back of my head, is that normal? Does it grow back later? I also have a question about my PEG tube, is it normal for it to slide (a little bit) in and out of the stomach? Mine is secured by some stiches, but they have some slack to them which allow the tube to move in/out.

Yes, it's normal for the PEG to slide in and out a little. It's also normal to lose the hair on the back lower part of your hairline--thats where I lost mine too. It does grow back, although it will take a little while.

Tim, you will probably lose more hair-and it will grow back smile The peg "sliding some" is O.K. Just be sure you keep the skin around the hole very clean. John was told by his surgeon to always put a gauze pad between his skin and the peg--others have said they do not do that. Just be aware that moisture or seepage could be a breeding ground for bacteria. Glad to hear that you are "hanging in there" Amy
