It's been a while since I posted concerning my husband so here's the latest.

He's into his 4th week with radiation and chemo. The first large dose of Cisplatin caused him to have some hearing loss and ringing in ears. He has been switched to carboplatin and taxotir on a weekly basis. He tolerated his chemo very well with very little side affects. He is not getting amofostine!!!!

About the 3rd week into radiation, he began to get sores on his tongue, but thank the Lord he is still eating well. He has been taking liquid roxicet. He's eating chicken, pasta, well-cooked vegies, etc. He does have some dryness.

He has not had any cellulitis at all yet.

One thing I must note is we met with a dietician before his treatments, and I have to say this visit was the most resourceful in terms of guiding us on his caloric requirements and the foods that can get you there. He does not have a PEG tube. He has even gained a pound since treatment.

I know this is early, but overall he's doing very well. Hope this helps some one out there.

Wonderful progress,

It's nice to hear from people that have this scourge and are doing well in treatment.

Please keep notes if you can. It wil benefit all who come after your husband is done with tyreatmetn.
