Kudos for thinking of it. Danny Boy, I would pledge for your miles walked, but I have finally made up my mind and Greg and I will be attending the walk. So I guess I have to work on getting my own pledges. Can't wait to see you again! Rosie

I think any OCF member who wants to pledge money that can't attend should sponser Minnie. Her efforts to make this happen has inspired many to help. Thats what counts. I will have plenty of sponsers from Wisconsin. My wife will also have sponsers. I keep thinking of how much the plane fares, hotels and car rentel costs and think I should just send that money to the foundation. But, I would miss out on all the fun of meeting everyone. I will be there. Buying a new pair of walking shoes for this event.
Love Ya All, Danny Boy

Getting the money sent to the foundation is the easy part. I have used my credit card several times, it is a secure transaction. Just be sure to mention Cancer Walk, 4/9/05. In honer of Minnie Ashworth.

We had really looked forward to meeting all of you who shared so much info & support with us. Bob is having the tail of his pancreas & his spleen removed to take out a cyst. Surgery is scheduled for March 29th, over Bob's Spring Break since he has used all his paid time off from teaching. We aren't sure how he will be feeling & made the hard decision to stay home. We had our hearts set on joining you all, but it wasn't meant to be this time. All of you gathered in VA will be in our hearts that weekend! Danny if there is any way I can get a t-shirt for Bob I would greatly appreciate it! Let me know the cost.
Dx June 18, 2004, neck dissection July 1, 35 radiation txs Aug 18-Oct 7.

It is my sincere wish that anyone wanting to contribute but cannot be there, that you sponsor one of our walkers coming to the walk. Danny is our team captain and I know he is working on getting sponsors, so you can email him or myself. If you want to make a one time contribution you can also do that on the website. Take care, Minnie

If I do, I will post the info here in a few days or so. Helen C, I would be honored to have you sponsor me, but would be just as glad to have you sponsor Danny Boy, Minnie or just send a donation directly to OCF. I probably shouldn't post it out in the open like this, but I don't think I have to worry about any of you guys being "bad", so if you want to sponsor me, you can send the money to me at: Rosemary Michael 7372 Spring Rd New Bloomfield PA 17068 As far as how much.....I guess if you want to do it "per mile", you will have to wait until after the walk. If you want to make it a flat amount, that is fine also. That could be sent anytime in whatever amount you choose. I do agree with Danny. I have made numerous donations to OCF online using my credit card and have never had a problem. I believe it is very secure or I wouldn't do it that way. I would be perfectly happy if anyone wants to donate that way instead of sending the money to me. I'm not too concerned about not getting many sponsors because I plan on doing some arm twisting with my family! LOL!!! Danny, I guess I need to send you an email letting you know for sure how many people will be coming to the walk. Will try to do that soon. Rosie
