Did anyone else have these? We are guessing the are little ulcerations from radiation? :rolleyes: You guys are the best-
Dad Treated for T2N1M0 Tonsil Cancer August 2005. 35 IMRT radiation, 3 doses Cisplatin. Selective Modified Neck Dissection November.

It is definitely a side effect and ask your dad not to worry. The burnt neck will heal up very soon. See if the nurse can do anything to make it less itchy and make sure he doesn't scratch. My nurse cleaned the wound every day and applied some kind of purple liquid around and cover it with some soft pad to prevent me from scratching. It helped a lot.

Karen stage 4B (T3N3M0)tonsil cancer diagnosed in 9/2001.Concurrent chemo-radiation treatment ( XRT x 48 /Cisplatin x 4) ended in 12/01. Have been in remission ever since.
