Many of the older posters are fully aware that I have had various reoccurrences in my lungs and have had, as needed, the necessary surgery to correct the problems. I have been lucky to have had avoided any issues at the original site, my left tonsil. Many of you should know that this cancer tends to move through the system, up and down. Mine finally went up. In June I was feeling so well I returned to work as a Police Administrator. Two weeks later my memory was failing me and an MRI of my Brain revealed a tumor the size of nickel, with additional swelling, in the left frontal lobe. This Tumor was removed on June 23 during a 4-hour surgery at MSKCC in NYC. The point of this post is to assure anyone here that may face a similar issue in the future that this was the easiest of all the surgeries I have had, and I have lost, in addition to the OC, parts of both lungs. I have follow-up with Stereo-Tactic Surgery in 2 weeks and am hopeful for a reasonable recovery. I look and feel great and I want to thank all of you for your support and appreciate the direct input I have received from the | | |
