At the start of my third week imrt I developed sever sore throat, requiring my full time use of peg tube. Have been miserable for two weeks. Then, all of a sudden, this morning the throat feels much better, had ceral and eggs. Still lots of mucus. Is this type of reprive common or is this the calm before the storm. Four weeks IMRT, nine weeks chemo, status left neck surg. EDD

Edd, John's throat pain started in 4th wk of tx. Then he decided he hated the PEG and now in the 6th wk, has gotten terribly dehydrated and has lost alot of muscle, very weak and tired. Whatever else you do, please keep pouring liquids and nutrients down that tube.Amy
