#44165 11-08-2004 09:45 PM | Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 16 Member | OP Member Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 16 | Just when I thoght they had cured my re-occuring growths on original site, I got two more, and one kept bleeding, whilst other was hard. Yesterday they removed my implants and surgically removed both growths. Tissue sent off for histology report and implants to go back in in 10 days, then see surgeon in 2 weeks for results/check up. Last time I posted I didn't find anyone with similar probs, but thought worth another try.Could really do without this re-occuring trauma, but do not know any solutions.

Diagnosed May 2002 with Stage IV tongue cancer, two lymph nodes positive. Surgery to remove 1/2 tongue, neck dissection, 35 radiation treatments. 11/2007, diagnosed with cancer of soft palate, surgery 12/14/07, jaw split. 3/24/10, cancer on tongue behind flap, need petscan, surgery scheduled 4/16/10 ---update passed away 8-27-11---

Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.
