Suddenly got inflamed jaw, excessive flesh growth.Had implants removed and on anti-biotics. Biopsy not for 3 weeks; pending completion of drugs. Anyone else ever encountered similar problems so long after ????? | | |

I don`t know of anyone who has had your problem but just wanted to say hang in and don`t imagine the worst...you will drive yourself nuts! Take care Marica

We took some time out in Greece to take my mind off the problem. Tuesdays results were positive in that growth is non-cancerous. I still need surgery to reduce growth so implants can be replaced, but surgeon appears confident that this solution will work, and providing I maintain a high level of oral hygiene, I should be OK. | | |

SCC Left Mandible. Jaw replaced with bone from leg. Neck disection, 37 radiation treatments. Recurrence 8-28-07, stage 2, tongue. One third of tongue removed 10-4-07. 5-23-08 chemo started for tumor behind swallowing passage, Our good friend and much loved OCF member Minnie has been lost to the disease (RIP 10-29-08). We will all miss her greatly.
