OP Mandi Gold Member (100+ posts) Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 189 Maryland	I'm almost ashamed to say that I read the National Enquirer. Many people tend to write it off as the next "alien sighting" mag. Whatever........it lets me escape reality for a few minutes now and then. This week I was surprised, and elated, to see that they had an article about oral cancer. They quoted their statistics as correctly as I've interpreted them from this site, and urged everyone to have a dentist test them for this disease regularly. Brian, I know your hard work had something to do with this. It's finally working!!!!!!!!! Bless you. Thank you God! Love, Mandi Husband diagnosed with stage III tonsil and floor of mouth cancer in August 2002. Three rounds of chemo/42 RAD treatments. Upper right lung lobectomy in March 2003. (Benign)

It is very superficial but let me be at ease for a few hours each week. As long as the word gets out is the most important thing. Sounds like NE is getting a social conscience? nah! Cheers Marica Caregiver to husband Pete, Dx 4/03 SCC Base of Tongue Stage IV. Chemo /Rad no surgery. Treatment finished 8/03. Doing great!
