I have not yet tried eating sushi wrapped with the rice and seaweed, but a couple of the first things that ate once I could swallow again were plain miso soup and yellow tail sushimi at the sushi bar. My brother the health nut reminded me that many people in Japan, suffering radiation burns from the atomic bombs, healed better than expected due to eating miso soup. Gosh, I never seem to eat it anymore. Oh well.... I am glad that you sound so good and congrats on your daughter's birthday. I drove to Austin, Texas today to begin moving my daughter home from the University of Texas where she is a freshman. I hope that the milestones keep on coming for you.
Take care, Danny G.

Funny, I just got back from stuffing the sushi down for the past 2 hours. The first food I ate was sushi and with a little extra tea or water, it goes down just great! I went to Japan in March and I stuffed myself many times a day. When we landed there it was like my throat started working again and everything tasted great. I even ate a traditional Japanese breakfast and a western breakfast one right after the other at the hotel every morning. Actually, probably 80% of my diet is Japanese, probably got it from my Japanese mother. She saw both bombs from about 80 miles away as a child and used to talk about it a lot and how hard it was to find vegetables for many months. She had cancer first around 18 and died from ovarian cancer. I think there is some connection to the bomb.
