As of Monday I start my first chemo treatment. The protocol will be Taxol and Paraplatin. yesterday I talked with my radiologist and he is setting up 7 weeks of radiation at 5 days a week. This coming Friday I will be fitted for my mask and hve ct scans done in preparatin for them.
According to my radiolgist, I am diagnosised with Stage 3b lung cancer with unkown primary because of where the lymph node involment is located. Lower neck near collarbone.
They are going to treat me as agressively as possible and then watch me very close afterward because of a very poor prognosis since the primary hasn't shown itself.
Since this is diagnosed as a lung cancer, should I continue to post here as I understand this to be a primarily head and neck cancer board? The first time tgrough this thing I had right tonsil scc with lymph node involement which brought me here to this board. I have gained a lot of insight and positve input from everyone here and was wondering should I stay here or go to some other site dealing with lung cancer.
If you woiuld like I will continue to update progress here and contribute as best as I can to help others battling this curse.
