Hey y'all....I graduated myself officially from the proposed treatment strategy to the actual stuff in progress today...hope that was okay!

The first step, the extractions, is complete. It went very smoothly. I was prepared, calm and assured by oral surgeons abilities. A half hour in preparation, half hour in extraction and a half hour in getting me back up and out. I was awake for it all...but felt nothing. Could hear but not feel.

Lots of swelling..my cheeks have never been so big and I am going to have a couple of black eyes for a while. But not much discomfort...more like an ache than a pain. Had a ladyfriend like that once!

Thank you all for your support and your encouragement. Things went well and I am comfortable...not great but okay.

Thanks for your support, all of you!

Now I will rest and wait for radiation to start in about two weeks.

Are you sleeping with your ice packs? I remember sitting up, holding an ice pack under my neck for my swollen tongue, and doing the nod off...wake with a start...nod off.... {{{Russ}}} Take care and keep us posted. I admire your great attitude.

Sincerely,
Lisa
