The first step, the extractions, is complete. It went very smoothly. I was prepared, calm and assured by oral surgeons abilities. A half hour in preparation, half hour in extraction and a half hour in getting me back up and out. I was awake for it all...but felt nothing. Could hear but not feel.
Lots of swelling..my cheeks have never been so big and I am going to have a couple of black eyes for a while. But not much discomfort...more like an ache than a pain. Had a ladyfriend like that once!
Thank you all for your support and your encouragement. Things went well and I am comfortable...not great but okay.
Thanks for your support, all of you!
Now I will rest and wait for radiation to start in about two weeks. | | |

I remember sitting up, holding an ice pack under my neck for my swollen tongue, and doing the nod off...wake with a start...nod off.... {{{Russ}}} Take care and keep us posted. I admire your great attitude.
Sincerely, Lisa
