I hope your treatment has gone well. I have a squamous cell carcinoma, left tonsil. I am supposed to start rad. next week (April 2).
I need to find out more about IMRT. Is there
one in So. Cal.? I am in Santa Barbara area.
Any info on your treatment would be most appreciated.

In No. Cal, Stanford, UCSF, Alta Bates and many smaller regional radiation treatment centers have it. Varian has a list of installed units on their site. I was treated on a Siemens machine. (UCSF has 6 IMRT machines). There is one within walking distance of my house but wasn't one of Kaiser's contractors. Feel free to email me personally if you want to know my experience with it. I finished treatment a week ago today.
