Should I be concerned I have never had one either pre or post treatment? I had a Cat Scan during the diagnosis stage but, am now almost 7 months post surgery and it has never been mentioned. I have a great, well respected surgeon and am being treated at Emory so, my gut tells me to relax but, just wanted to hear your thoughts.

My husband had to have a PET scan because his lymph nodes were cancerous and they didn't know where the source cancer was from. The PET scan scanned his whole body from head to toe and found the cancer on the base of his tongue. I wonder if you didn't get one because your lymph nodes were clear. But, I plan to ask for another one post treatment for my husband. Again, because my husband's cancer is in his lymph system and I want an all clear from head-to-toe.
But, check with your doctor, I'd be interested in his reply.

However, I must admit, I would sleep much easier knowing I was clean head to toe.
