It's a powder that is mixed with water or juice and helps build muscle for people with cancer. It is supposed to be used with a well balanced diet to get the best results, but should aid in weight loss and help fight muscle loss, without fat gain.

Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 168 | Hi Vicki, yes I am using it now. It's a little expensive but it has seemed to slightly help me when I am feeling good. My rad nurse gave me some samples when I was dropping weight but I could not drink it then. Even w/ pain meds it still burnt really bad. I put them up and then at about 3 wks post tx I started drinking 1-2 of them a day. I'm still on a liquid diet so this added some change also.
Lee, age 33, stage 4a, T2N2bM0, Tumor left tonsil (removed), 2 left side nodes removed (poorly differientiatied)total of 3 nodes involved. Treatment IMRT x33/ 2x Cysplatin completed. Good Health and Good Help to you.

Yes it is expensive, but I saw it on ebay of all places. I was going to just put it through my husband's PEG.
I also have a couple samples that were given to him. Maybe I can get a couple more.
I did a search on this web site and didn't get any hits, so figured it was either new or just not widely used.
