Hello,

I was wondering if anyone out there has had SCC that has spread to other parts of their body? I am all clear in my head/neck, but I keep having tumors pop up in my lung(received radiation for that), that is clear, and now I have a tumor in my lymph node in my lat muscle and in my clavicle bone. They can't believe how fast they are spreading and growing. They are recommending more radiation with a combination of chemo. From what I have been reading, SCC is not responsive to the chemo. Has anyone else had this, and what worked for you? I am 36 years young, and not ready to throw in the towel just yet...

Thanks,
Joyce

Joyce, When you are discussing additional therapy with your Doctors-ask about Erbitux and see what they say- it has helped my husband in controling the recurrant tumor growths. And good for you for not "throwing in the towel"! Amy
