Anyone have any experience with re-irradiation? I'm thinking I may ask for it, but wanted see if anyone else has been there already.

Base of Tongue SCC. Stage IV, T1N2bM0. Diagnosed 25 July 2003.
Treated with 6 weeks induction chemo -- Taxol & Carboplatin once a week followed with 30 fractions IMRT, 10 fields per fraction over 6 more weeks. Recurrence October 2005.

It is rare indeed for any Radiation Oncologist to agree to radiation therapy to tissue that has already been treated with RT.
In virtually all cases, regardless of delivery method, they (Radiation Oncologists) treat you right up the the upper limit threshhold.
Added Radiation to irradiated tissue usually results in more damage than good...
