Hi,
My husband had 28 radiation treatments and 5 chemos (cisplatin) he has had a hard time with vomiting. He started last week and couldn't stop. He spent four days in the hospital to calm his stomach and we came home on saturday. He has thrown up every time he trys to take something through the peg tube. He has been on compazine, kytril, and zofran, nothing seems to work. He hasn't eaten anything for over a week (through the tube). He's losing weight very quickly now and I'm starting to get scared what else can we do to try to keep something in him? He even throws up his medicine (liquid morphine etc). We want to stay out of the hospital and finish these treatments. Did anyone else experience such awful vomiting and what did you do?

Have you tried the compazine suppositories? There was a while when they were the only thing that worked for me (even though I hated how totally out of it they made me). If you have tried those, I don't know what else to suggest except that if he really can't keep his pain meds or food down, and it's been days, he probabl;y should go back to the hospital so they can give him IV meds and liquids and nuttients.
