SR.... Your posting is going to get lost here and people will not find it to respond to. When you are begining a new idea ( like your question) you need to use the new topic button to post it instead of placing it inside the thread of an idea that someone else has started by useing the reply button. It will be easier for others to find you, and easier for you to keep track of your replys, since they sill not be mixed into another persons thread.

Dee--

I too am experiencing mild to significant "dizzyness", so much that I have pretty much been confined to bed the last couple of days.

I've attributed it to the fact that I've had a "cold" on and off for a week or so, and that my ears were "weird" on the return plane flight home. They felt like they needed to 'pop' but I couldn't get them to pop.

I would yawn, chew gum, etc, but nothing seemed to work.

Now, I still have that stuffy ear feeling, even though the flight was 3 days ago.

Now, even taking a shower is exhausting since I get so dizzy.

It seems a little better today so I am hoping it self-resolves soon.

Just wanted to mention it in case your Mom's been flying it might be worth telling the Dr.

Michael,
My mom was having the dizziness problem several weeks after her treatments ended, and she was finally sent to an ear specialist with her oncology group. She had fluid built up in both ears which could not drain properly due to the radiation affecting the eustacian tubes. The doctor put tubes in to drain mom's ears and she got almost immediate relief from the ear pain and pressure. The dizziness improved significantly, though she may have some remaining problems due to the cisplatin. She is much improved now, though, as it has been about a month since this procedure was done.

Hope this helps you.

Laura

Thank you Laura. Sounds right to me.

I can almost feel/hear fluid.

I'll ask for an ear specialist to consult.

Your info helps me, and many others. Thanks again!
