I am so happy to hear that Jen's surgery went as expected and that she took my advice and asked you to keep us updated. Waiting until she was up to it herself would have been unbearable for us.
I look forward to seeing your posts with updates and please tell Jen that she is in my prayers.

She is swollen but not as bad as expected. She can communicate by writing and she has been trying to joke around. Her cousin stayed with her overnight. She will probably spend the 3 days in ICU and is expected to stay 10 days total. She has been having visitors. -Sean

Thank you all so much for all your help with the food and gift cards. It has really helped ease a very stressful situation knowing that we have friends like you all in our corner. Jennifer is doing fine. She was able to sit in a chair and walk around the ICU a little today. The doctors are saying that her recovery is going well. They feel that they were able to capture all the cancer cells during the procedure. She'll probably be in the ICU another day and approximately 8-10 days in a regular room. I will try to keep you all updated on her progress as best I can. Thanks again for being in our corner during this stressful time.

In the morning she was getting ready to do a swallow test and by the evening she had moved down to a smaller trachea tube, was able to talk some and had eaten some thickened soup. I just found out that they have removed the trachea tube & the stitches. Her lymph node pathology came back good! Woohoo! And she is coming home tomorrow, Monday.
