How sad. Be glad your doctor is working in emergency mode. The earlier this is diagnosed and treated, the better it is. Muster all the strength and courage that helped you get your fiend through this and you too can make it. Here's hoping it is not cancer and keep us posted. Glad you friend is doing well.
Take care, Eileen

Make sure your GP is really happy about where he refers you to, being in London you should have a good choice, be prepared to travel if the hospital has more experience in this field, don't just settle for the nearest. I will be hoping that everyone is wrong and it's just an infection. Sunshine.. love and hugs Helen

I couldn't believe it when I read your post. I will pray that it isn't the "C" word! I guess when we are in the caregiver role, it's hard to believe we could also become the patient. You have been such a support to your friend, very glad to hear he is feeling better. Now it's his turn to be there for you! Just know that you have a ton of people here who care about you and we are all hoping for the best. Keep us updated OK?
You hang in there,
Shelley
