Glad you're feeling well and your spirits are up, Robert. There's nothing in the world like a daughter's love -- I know (mine is almost 12) and we're very lucky men because of it. I'll be looking forward to reading positive reports from the scans.

Base of Tongue SCC. Stage IV, T1N2bM0. Diagnosed 25 July 2003.
Treated with 6 weeks induction chemo -- Taxol & Carboplatin once a week followed with 30 fractions IMRT, 10 fields per fraction over 6 more weeks. Recurrence October 2005.

Congrats on the year. I always get nervous before checkups. I describe it as terminal paranoia. However, my doctor said that my paranoia is healthy because it means I keep my appointments and will let him know if anything changes between visits. We always use my good checkups as an excuse for celebration (as if we need an excuse). btw - I used to go to Libertyville regularly when I was a teen - do they still have the terrific saddle shop.

SCC stage 1 1987, 1/4 of tongue removed, neck dissection, SCC stage 3 2000, another 1/4+ removed second neck dissection, radiation.
