Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 261 | Took my 3 daughters to the Western Washington State Fair today! Those corn dogs (Krusty Pups) are the best, look forward to them every year! I sure didn't eat healthy today, but boy we had fun! I must have drank 4 or 5 milks just to wash down all that crap! The hardest was the scones. They just ball up and won't go down very easily. Hope some of you can get to a fall fair & do the same!

Tongue cancer (SCC), diagnosed Oct. 2003 (T2 N0 M0). Surgery to remove tumor. IMRT Radiation 30x in Dec 2003 - Jan. 2004. Recurrence lymph node - radical neck dissection June 2004. Second round of rad/chemo treatments ended Sept. 2004.

Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,606 Likes: 2 | Eric, I sure hope you put some mustard on the dog! I really look forward to the state fair here just for the corn dogs, too. I dragged my kids last year during the tail end of chemo/radiation and even though it is a bit fuzzy for me, they remind me about all the puking I was doing and having to stop every few feet to rest on the benches. All I clearly remember is the greasy, crunchy corn dogs in my mouth, swirling around with the mustard, of course!
I had a scone a couple of weeks ago with my (regular) no-whip, whole milk mocha. I felt like a chicken bobbing my head as I prepared to swallow but it was sooooo good. Glad you had a great time. State fair starts the end of this week but I won't be going until after Vegas.

There's a package of the mix in the Washington basket that's coming down! Also huckleberry jam to spread on them when they are hot out of the oven!!! - Kris

Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 73 | Here in Minnesota we have deep fried everything (including mac and cheese!). I can't chew well or swallow non smooth food but when we go to the fairs my husband gets the goodies and shares as many bites as I can handle. I keep lots of water nearby and I do enjoy those little tastes!
