I just pumped the stuff right into my feeding tube. Unfortunately I cannot tell that it really helped at all. Does anyone have any experience with this or other substances that might give us some relief?

I need to review my notes, but since there are a variety of formulas of Robitussin, it is important to buy the one that say expectorant on it. Also I remember having to swallow it in order for it to work.

I never heard about Robitussin, but I hope it works. In any event, even though I felt the wall paper paste I was producing would never end, it did and yours will too. I have found that the Puffs brand of tissues is stronger than Kleenex for clearing the stuff out of your month, for what it is worth. Wish I had stock in it for the amount I used... Hang in there and KNOW that this too shall pass.

My mother is using Robitussin to cut the amount of mucous she accumulates. Because it burns her mouth, she cuts it with water. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. She has a tube also but chooses to take it by mouth. As an observer, I think it has worked because she doesn't seem to be spitting out mucous as much.
And my mom's with Joanna - Puffs tissue has become a staple in our house. If I'm at the store, I buy one whether it's immediately needed or not.
