I did the same thing with my son! Copied pages of wonderful comments/advice from other posters. I think it helped him to know that it wasn't just me trying to tell him what to do. Good for you! Sounds like you are doing a great job!

Also through America Cancer on-line. Might want to even check at the hospital she is beingtreated at. We are at Moffit in Tampa they have online site so patients can write journal on them selves and what they are going through. They even have hard copires of others your sister can read.
It really helps to know there are others she is not the only one...

When my husband was diagnosed with stage III/IV tonsil, base of tongue and nodal cancer two years ago, he was afraid that this would be the end of normalcy, that he would not be able to travel again, even if he survived. However he got a lot of encouragement from speaking to several patients at same hospital (Hopkins) who had been through treatment and were back to work and their lives.
Now it is really just a bad memory -- yes, he is being closely monitored but we are both looking forward and not back -- travelling lal over teh world (next month, Uganda) -- this is a bad beast but it can be beaten!

I remember saying to my husband that I was not sure if I would make it. Well, as you can see I did !! It just feels like that during the time of feeling so sick!!! I agree with Gary and Gail. Keep a journal or coming here would help her a lot. She would not feel alone and would learn so much. So she is a writer. Great!! This is the place for her. Let her know we are thinking of her. Tell her not to hesitate to ask questions of her Team Dr's. The more she learns the better she will feel. Take care, Diane
