Hi everyone,

We decided to have a big family gathering with Grandma tonight. She doesn't look so good. Her face is sooooooooo swollen. The swelling is up to her eye now. She is going for her pre-op tomorrow and the 2nd biopsy Wednesday. Why is everyone taking so long to help her? She is suffering and getting weaker by the day. She has lost weight because she can't eat properly. I don't know what to expect, but I know it scares me so much. If all the doctors and tests keep taking so long doesn't that make her chances of beating this less? Why would they be sending my Grandma to a doctor that deals with speech and swollowing? Of course she is having trouble......she has a golf ball sized thing rotting in her mouth!! Are they going to ever take it out?

All of you are so brave. I have been on here a lot lately. I don't know if it makes me feel better or worse.....I am sorry all of you have to go through this.....patients, family and friends. My heart goes out to all of you.....and you will all my in my prayers!!

From Christy & Grandma

Not sure what is going on.....

Christy, please take note of the fact that many of us here are FORMER patients. This should give you some hope. I am glad you are here to find information to help you understand what your grandmother is facing. Know that many good wishes are headed north!
