I have been meaning to go this forum and read through some of the posts about Lynn. I have also been meaning to provide you with an update about our family. I apologize for taking so long. It is a difficult transition to try and fill the shoes of someone like Lynn.
As I suspected, Lynn seemed to touch many lives here. I am not surprised. This has been a pattern in her life. I think this was clearly evidenced by her memorial service. I thought the service went pretty much the way she would have wanted it. It better had because she planned the whole thing. Back in April when we got her CT scan that showed the lung mets, she took it upon herself to make mine and the rest of her loved one | | |

As soon as my eyes are dry, I'll see if I can write more.
Thanks again.

Lynn was a special and very caring person. Lynn emailed me and we discussed several issues regarding oral cancer, feeding tubes, etc. You were obviously a great husband and you are a great father, and although Lynn's loss will be felt forever, I know that the children are in wonderful hands with you. I also appreciate your frank description of Lynn's passing. Although many of us may face the same fate one day, it is eaiser, speaking for myself, to not think about it. For me at least, it was very informative and, of course, very touching.
Thank you and take care, Danny G.

Thanks. My wife and I cried very hard when we read your post. But are very glad that your had the courage to write it.
Lynn was one of, if not the first person I ever talked with out here at OCF. She was always upbeat and positive and I knew I had a friend after the first time I talked with her.
I wanted to let you know that my wife and I are very sorry for your loss. We have 5 children under the age of 10 ourselves and try not to think about what you are living through right now.
Please dont hesitate to contact me if you need anything.
Thanks, Robert & Christine Hamilton

Thank you so much for sharing your story of Lynn's final days. She certainly was a remarkable person. I know it must have been difficult for you to let us in on those emotional days and weeks at the end of her life, but it really does help to talk. Sometimes people worry about bringing up Scott and his death around me; I guess they are afraid to "upset me." But I NEED to talk about Scott, not only of the good times but also all of the horrors we faced together in the end.
I told him a few days before he died that I would carry his love in my heart forever. We cried and held each other. In the end, love is all there is.
I'm glad you had Lynn in your life, and I know her love will be with you and your children forever, too.
Christine
