My doctor wants to see anything that lasts two weeks. I would call and see if you can get in sooner.

Sincerely,

Hopefully it's nothing, but I think you should definitely fight to get in sooner and MAKE them do a biopsy. If they argue, ask them if you're asking too much to have comfort; and tell them they can tease you when they prove they're right. smile

And then there is the other alternative, get a second opinon. If your docs are good guys, they won't be offended by this. I don't klike the numbness part, nor the time that it has been there. A second set of eyes and opinion hurts no on,e and I bet if you push these guys or another ENT, someone will see you immediately. It's not them that has the cancer. If you are not comfortable with this (I wouldn't be), be your own advocate and push for action. You shouldn't even consider if you are being foolish or not. Your mental comfort is reason enough to do this.

Mike, I wouldn't wait a moment. This is too important to worry about a doctor's feelings. A second opinion would be warranted in my opinion and I would find another ENT to see. It's not like there aren't any around. Even if there aren't that many in your town, there are other towns. Don't wait a minute more than needed.

Haven't heard of it, but that doesn't mean it isn't possible. I'm still voting for the biopsy and Brian's recommended second opinion. There's no harm in making yourself breath easier and sleep better (mentally!
