Wow-I too have been gone on vacation and am deeply saddened by this news. I will be praying for her family. She has touched many lives with her thoughtful posts in this forum. Perhaps when her daughters are older they will have a chance to read some of her posts on this site and come to know the grace, dignity and love she had to share with so many people. I know she is watching over them still. - Kris

I did not know Lynn, but I can surely tell that this was an amazing woman who touched the lives of many. May she rest in peace with the Lord and may her family find comfort in him.

God Bless.

I just wanted everyone to know that Lynn's memorial service was so uplifting. One of her friends for the last 33 years spoke of so many great memories and all the advice Lynn had given her when her first baby was born. She actually read the 7 things Lynn told her before the baby was born. It was very touching and reminded me of all the advice Lynn gave us. She had some list she posted that was something like the 20 things to do every day. I can't remember exactly but I will look for it later.

Lynn's husband spent his entire time talking thanking the church family for all they did for the family, like the umpteen dinners they brought over. So many dinners, in fact, they had to bring them a new freezer to hold them. He spoke of the fundraisers they did to help pay for the medical bills.

The pastor then told of all the things Lynn did and I especially remember him talking about their mission trip to Thailand. There was a picture in the video memories someone put together that had a boa constrictor wrapped around Lynn's neck during the trip!

I mentioned to Mike, Lynn's husband about compiling a group of the posts and he was really touched. If there are any private messages Lynn sent you that really touched your heart feel free to email them to me and I will include it with her posts and private messages to me.

Lynn sang for the church for at least ten years and people use to crowd their way to the seats near her to hear her beautiful voice. She even recorded a set of Hallal cd's that they played during part of the service. Her treatment and surgery ended her singing yet I never heard Lynn mention this. As a matter of fact, I don't remember Lynn ever mentioning much about herself other than to give examples of how she handled certain parts of her recovery.

I want to share a few things about the service that really stood out. Mike asked us all to look around the room for a minute at the people sitting around us. He said this is what made all of us part of their church family. Each of us had taken the time to do something special for Lynn and had been touched by Lynn in some way. I couldn't help but think of all of you that couldn't be there in the same light. Just letting her help you allowed her to continue in service to her Lord, Jesus Christ.

Another memorable thing was stories about Lynn's brother. Lynn was so worried that he may end up a weanie that she made it a point to toughen him up throughout her life. One example was when he wrecked on his bike and skinned his back up. Lynn poured a bottle of rubbing alcohol on his back and when he screamed she told him, "Evel Knievel wouldn't have cried!". On other occasions when he was taking a (bubble) bath, she burst in the bathroom and screamed, "HEY, what are you doing?" to startle him. It reminded me of Kato and the Green Hornet.

The pastor spoke of one particular halloween party Lynn was invited to by a bank teller. When the bank teller answered the door, there stood Lynn dressed as a cow. She asked him, "Guess what I am?" When he said he didn't know, she reached down and raised up her udders and said "Go on, guess" He guessed she was a chicken. As it turned out, this was the man she later married.

I just wanted to share a bit of it with y'all.

Ed
