my dad will be two years past chemo/radiation the end of july. He is scheduled for Hyper Barrack treatment beginning the 13th of this month. then teeth extraction and then 10 more treatments. ONLY, this Morning he found a lump on his throat on left side jaw area. he checks every few days and it was not there a few days ago. He has no cold symptoms or feeling different otherwise. He is going to try to get in with his dr tomorrow. What are things it could be other than recurrance? What should we make sure the dr does? What tests? I want the dr to be thourogh...I am very scared...

Try not to panic. Have your Dad get it checked out, but I'll bet its nothing. My husband woke up one morning with a small new lump in his throat. He was so scared that the cancer had come back. Had it checked out and it was nothing, just side effects of the radiation. Remember, they say radiation is the gift that keeps on giving. Try not to worry (I know that's easier said than done).
