Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 66 | Had a second opinion from an ENT at a university hospital, he really seemed to know his stuff. He concurred with the original ENT that he thinks its just ligual tonsilitis. This has FINALLY alleviated my fear of cancer. Retired Dentist, 59 years old at diagnosis. SCC of the left lateral border of the tongue (Stage I). Partial glossectomy and 30 nodes removed, 4/6/05. Nodes all clear. No chemo no radiation 18 year survivor.
