I am one of the ones that have made it through 2Xs. I am so sorry you have to go through this again, but fight it you will. Those of us who have already had radiation usually cannot have it again to the same area which leaves us surgery and/or chemo for treatment options. I chose surgery.
Be sure to take someone with you to your appointment. All this is too much to remember all at once and write down your questions and the answers. Ask for a PET scan if you want to be certain that you do not have cancer elsewhere. Keep us posted as to what the dr says. And DON'T GIVE UP THE FIGHT before you start.
Take care, Eileen

You don't have a Dx yet and it could be something like thrush which could cause the symptoms you have got. Take a deep breath.
They always told me that, as in Eileens case, "salvage" surgery could be performed if necessary. You are seeing an ENT every 2-3 months right? Has everything been normal until now?
Sorry to hear about your wife - for some people it's to just to close to their own sense of mortality and they just can't handle it. I had some very close friends who stayed away until almost 1 1/2 years out.

XXXX was my ENT in Tupelo. But now I go to Memphis VA due to the loss of my insurance. Why have you let this thing go this long... Run, don't walk, to your ENT... I am really sorry for the anxiety you are going through right now. There is nothing I can say to comfort you because I just haven't been down that road. I am hoping and praying for the best possible results from the biopsy and I pray He will provide guidance and wisdom to your medical team to find the best course of action for you. I also pray for Him to provide you with all the comfort and peace you need all the days of your life.
YBIC,
Ed
