Will talk to ENT today & see what's next. I suppose he'll want a biopsy. Not looking forward to that. dx 2/11/04 scca bot T3 IU 2B MO poorly differentiated, margins ok, 3/16 modest, jaw split, over half of tongue removed, free flap from left forearm - finished chemo & rad treatment 5/20/04

With all that stuff they did to you I am sure that you have tons of scar tissue. Your palpation and visual exam went well and that's pretty major. The CT is only a small part of the data and workup.

Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 482 | Erik, try not to worry too much. As Gary says, all kinds of things can cause "suspicious" areas. And its not cancer til the pathologist says it is. I had suspicious results and when they did the surgery and removed the lymph nodes, there was no cancer anywhere. And they tested it very carefully. So try not to worry too much. Regards, Kirk Georgia

Investigation is necessary but I'm sending positive thoughts for the scar tissue outcome.
