Joined: Jun 2002 Posts: 206 | Hi I have to have a skin cancer removed on Monday. It's on the side that the radiation was on so wish me luck. It's right by the ear on the left side of the face. A little worried about it but not much. Please e-mail me.

Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 4,918 Likes: 70 | I routinely (annually) visit a dermatologist to have her freeze off little precancerous skin lesions from my face, neck, and back. They are not related to oral cancers, and are the result of years of hanging out at the beach and in the sun. They happen to people who have not had a major cancer too. This shouldn't be on your worry list.

Joined: Jun 2002 Posts: 206 | Hi, The test was the dopler sonogram. Waiting for the symptoms to send for treatment. Success rate in Houston is 98% with latest techniques.
