Dinah was very instrumental in organizing this and she passed away not very long ago after a long and ferocious fight. She was too ill to attend.

We should be well into planning the Second Annual meet! It was a very enjoyable time meeting folks. It was in Vegas and at the Imperial Palace. At the time we kinda thought we would have future get-togethers at other venues so that travel would be an even burden on everyone. Gary had pictures posted for a while Perhaps they are still available?
Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.

Was at the Imperial Palace last May, half expected to see Danny at the blackjack tables near the dealertainers. Food no better at the buffets though. And the lines no shorter at the front desk.

It was a good time last year. We found out the people we were talking to on the board were even better people than anyone could expect.

Big-Busy-Bustling? or Quiet-Laid back-peaceful? What was the agenda for the last one? Amy

They are on volunteer time and donations just like us. As a rule they have more demand than they can handle. Given that, I think that using their resources to ferry individuals to a reunion for survivors may not get them the type of publicity that they are looking for, or which generates needed donations for their really important work, getting patients to treatment.
As to a location, I would go to the Mendocino coast in a heartbeat. But for those who like the action and shows of a Vegas venue it would seem too

There were lots of shows, gambling for those who indulge, Hoover Dam, etc. but also hoards of people, smoking and drinking everywhere.
Hawaii sounds like a plan to me.
