Hi everyone. I have recently been diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer.

Have had all my teeth extracted(they were in rough shape)

I start treatment in a week- 7 weeks of radiation every day and Chemo once a week.

I am a bit freaked out by the side effects of treatment and getting dentures- no teeth is rough. I have a consultation with a cosmetic dentist next week. Anyone have experience with this?

I have a great team of Drs here and am confident of a positive outcome

Hello Jay,

Sorry to hear of your new diagnosis.

Welcome to the forums. There are definitely folks on here that have faced very similar situations.

Glad you have a great team of Doctors and they and you have a positive mental attitude about good outcomes.

Hope your chemo and radiation goes well for you.

If you have any particular problems or issues and don't see a response on here quickly, you should be able to search the forums and find similar advice.

Sincerely,

Chris
