My mother will be having surgery for tongue cancer on her 98 birthday. The plan is to remove the cancer and sew it back together.
There are not plans for radiation or chemo due to her age. Doctor does not think lymph node involved but will remove one to check. I am wondering if during the surger to remove the cancer is a lot of bleeding involved. Appreciate any comments. Thank you

Hi,I had similar surgery and from reading my report there was very little bleeding and since she won't have chemo and radiation I think she will be fine healing might be little slow considering her age, everyone heals differently for some process could be faster for some its slower I did baking soda and salt rinses 10 to 15 times a day that will help in healing, good luck.
