Recently diagnosed with squamous cell head and neck cancer. Original tumor is on my right tonsil and has spread to neck lymph node. Lymph node is 3.5 cm and tonsil is 1.7 cm. Both the ENT and Oncologist recommend tonsillectomy and neck dissection surgery. What are some concerns? What should I ask surgeon?
Thank you

Sorry there are no replies for you. I think its a technical question that only someone with access to your complete medical info would b able to answer or give ideas,

If at all possible get a second opinion at a Comprehensive Cancer Center. Sounds much like mine and my team recommended just letting the radiation take care of my tonsil which it did I'm 15 years post treatment now. All of our cancers are unique please find a team you trust completely be proactive and help make Cancer history as they say at MDACC.
