Hi
I have just been diagnosed with cancer of the mandibular. I see my ENT surgeon this Wednesday. I had breast cancer 10 years ago but apparently this cancer is a primary cancer and nothing to do with my breast cancer. How lucky can one person be!! Cancer twice!! My specialist has already booked the operating room for the 24th August and I havent met him yet. I have looked him up and he is a leading surgeon in my city. I am married and my husband has been amazingly supportive but this is still such a lonely road. I am so scared but I know I have to go thru this. For anyone who has had a mandibulectomy how was the pain level? How did you cope with the tracheotomy? I guess I will know more after Wed. I just want to talk to someone who can give me some assurance. Please....

Hi,
I am new to this forum and just completed radiation two weeks ago. I just wanted to say hi and you are not alone! I’m sorry I cannot answer your questions… I was diagnosed with tongue cancer.
