The additional information is that I have had treatment for a previous throat cancer including chemo/cisplatin and radiation/35 rads. I would really like to hear from anyone who may like to share their experience with surgery of irradiated skin. I am not sure what the long term looks like although I know at this point my neck is very taught although I do think there is healing. Also, has anyone passed on the neck dissection despite a doctor's recommendation and decided to go with surveillance? Thank you in advance for any insight you are willing to share. Happy Holidays! Nice to hear all went well with your neck dissection. I am almost nine months out and my neck and shoulder are much stronger but tight. I find myself stretching it daily and massaging it by hand which helps.
Happy Holidays. We are blessed to have this forum and more time with loved ones. Stay safe and keep the faith.
